This is how I see Division I-A football making sense to me in determining a national champion.  I'm giving out my own award to the team I think deserves it. See this post.

Here's how the winners are determined:

1. Use a simulation from whatifsports.com, to determine the winner of the game.  
2. If the match-up was played in a bowl game prior to the time of the round, use the results of the actual game.
3. After each round, reseed the teams so the highest seed left plays the lowest seed left, etc.

 At-Large - UCLA (8) 
 At-Large - Mississippi State (9)
 At-Large - Arizona (11)
